A psalm of David.
1 LORD, who may dwell in your sanctuary?
Who may live on your holy hill?
2 He whose walk is blameless
and who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from his heart
3 and has no slander on his tongue,
who does his neighbor no wrong
and casts no slur on his fellowman,
4 who despises a vile man
but honors those who fear the LORD,
who keeps his oath
even when it hurts,
5 who lends his money without usury
and does not accept a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things
will never be shaken.

LORD, I want to be like this man so that I can dwell in "your sanctuary", "live on your holy hill." But I cannot be this on my own. I need help from your Holy Spirit who lives in me. So today I pray:
ReplyDelete"LORD,
"May my walk be blameless and my deeds righteous;
"May all I say come from a heart full of truth, may no slander come from my tongue;
"May I always do good to my neighbor, may I never cast a slur upon my fellowman;
"May I despise the ways of a vile man, but honor those who fear You;
"May I always keep my oath, even when it hurts;
"May I lend my money without usury, never accepting a bribe against the innocent.
"Then Lord, no matter what circumstances my come my way today, I will not be shaken, because I will not be alone. For You have promised that who ever does these things will dwell with You in Your sanctuary and live with You on Your holy hill.
"AMEN
